Denotation.

Connotation.

-the bright colours connotes that the scene gives a happy era and that 

The picture is friendly and playful

-the colourful cat with a cheeky grin on his face shows that he is having a good time messing about on the girls head. 
-we can tell that the girl is young from her ribbon in her hair and the white pinafore she is wearing unders her sky blue dress.
-through the expression on her face we can tell that she is annoyed by the the cat sitting on her head because her eyes are looking up at him. 
-Her hands are placed under her chin this connotes she is fed up .
-her cheeks have turned a rosy colour connoting that she may also be embarrassed and humiliated by the cats silly behaviour.

Summary
This drawing represents a playful cat who is messing around on a young girls head. She is reluctant on telling him to stop so she puts her head into her hands and bares the humiliation of how the cat is mucking about. 

I think the cat represents being young and playful. I think this because of the position he is in and the huge grin spread across his face.
Although the girl on the other hand is fed up I think this represents growing because as we all know in the story of Alice and wonderland it is all about growing up, and Alice not playing back with the Cheshire Cat shows she has matured and is to old for messing around. 

My 'kinda' media

My kinda media.......
To be completly honest this is a really hard decision to make for me.
I love the genre 'horror' so I have chosen my absolute favourite horror movie of all time SAW!

Saw "the ultimate horror of all time" in my opinion!
It's simply has one of the best story lines ever,
it consists of seven films all linked together - entwining in and out of each other linking to future films and relating back to the previous.

John a cancer patient has a near death experience in a car accident, having to put himself through excruciating    pain by Pulling a huge shattered piece of windscreen out from his stomach in order to survive.

Instead of living life to the fullest John wants others to see that they deserve it and have the fight to survive!
Through twisted traps John and his faithful assistants see whether they deserve the right to stay alive and see their wrong doings and will make a change.

Not only have I watched all movies I have also watch behind the scenes to see how all the gore and blood was created. I found it really interesting to see how everything was created and used so realistically.
Lions Gate company which created saw has also made so many other brilliant movies such as:
The decent, Hostel, The Hunger Games, Rambo, Twilight, The Midnight Meat Train.

Why I Picked MediaStudies.

I picked media studies because it seemed like something fun.
I like to be creative and have a bit of a knack with electronics, so I assumed that would be a bonus for me choosing it. When it comes to media.... I love it: films, music, social networking and editing ect..
Girls I had spoken to during school had also said that they loved media and advised me to take it!
And not to mention the fact that Mr Hollway "sold" it really well to us when we were choosing our options. So yep there were are lots of reasons...... ^.^
